Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how UDL Sourcing ("UDL", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information when you use our website and sourcing services. We are based in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and we handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use our services, including:

  • Account information — your name, email address and WhatsApp number when you create an account.
  • Sourcing & order details — the products you request, quantities, specifications, your sourcing cart and order history.
  • Delivery information — the addresses you provide for shipping.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; Stripe handles them securely.
  • Communications — messages you send us via WhatsApp, email or our forms.
  • Usage data — basic technical information such as device and browser type, collected to keep the site secure and working.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To source products, process and fulfil your orders, and provide quality control.
  • To communicate with you about your requests, orders and support enquiries.
  • To send marketing and promotional messages where you have consented (see Section 3).
  • To improve, secure and maintain our website and services.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Marketing communications

With your consent, we may send you marketing emails and promotions about UDL products, offers and updates. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing will not affect messages we need to send you about your orders or account.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our services, including with:

  • Service providers — Supabase (account and database hosting), Netlify (website hosting), Stripe (payments), and WhatsApp/Meta (messaging).
  • Suppliers and logistics partners — only the details necessary to source, manufacture, inspect and ship your order.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities — where required by law.

5. Overseas disclosure

Because we source products globally, some of your information (such as order and delivery details) may be disclosed to suppliers and logistics providers located overseas, including in China. Some of our service providers may also store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled securely.

We understand that sharing information with overseas suppliers can be a concern, and we take it seriously. Our Australian customers come first. We only ever share the minimum details required to fulfil your order — typically a shipping address and product specifications. We never share your payment details with suppliers (these are handled securely by Stripe), and we do not pass on more of your personal information than is necessary. We hold our overseas partners to strict data-handling standards and keep the sensitive side of your information within secure, access-controlled systems wherever possible.

6. Storage and security

Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled systems (including Supabase). Passwords are encrypted and never visible to us. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your rights

You may request to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us a question about how we handle it. To do so, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use minimal cookies and browser storage that are necessary for the website to function — for example, to keep you logged in. We do not use them to track you across other websites.

9. Children

Our services are intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly.

11. Contact us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal information, contact us at support@udlsourcing.com.
